Del Smith studied fine art in South Africa and went on to complete post graduate studies in Fine Art Conservation in England, resulting in an extensive professional association with museums and art galleries.  He has a keen interest in landscape in both its purest and abstract forms - a central, recurring theme in his own painting.  He has held numerous joint and solo exhibitions.
